Bright documentation
Bright is a node-based compositing workspace for 2D and 3D. Read plates, grade through OpenColorIO, key, track, roto, merge deep renders, and write finished frames, all in one graph.
Bright is in development and has no public release yet. These pages describe the desktop app as it is built today; details can change before release. Register for early access to hear when it opens.

At a glance
- Node graph with tab-search node creation, rubber-band selection, pan and zoom, groups, and graphs saved as JSON.
- Permanent Viewer with an OpenGL OpenColorIO display path, exposure, gamma and channel isolation, and nine viewer pipes.
- 2D and 3D in one graph: an interactive 3D viewport with cameras, meshes, lights and a transform gizmo next to the 2D tools.
- Layered EXR read and write that keeps every layer and its metadata, deep OpenEXR as its own stream, and video read and write through FFmpeg.
- Animation: keyframe curve editor and dope sheet for any animatable float parameter.
- Playback: a timeline with transport controls, a RAM frame cache, and background rendering.
