This policy explains the cookies on vfx.systems. In short: we only use cookies that the site needs to work. Our analytics are cookieless, and there are no advertising or tracking cookies, so there is no cookie banner.
Cookies we set

If you never sign in, we set no cookies. This cookie is strictly necessary for a service you asked for, so it does not need consent under the ePrivacy rules.
Cloudflare
Our host Cloudflare may set strictly necessary security cookies (such as __cf_bm) to tell people from bots and protect the site. See Cloudflare's cookie policy. Cloudflare Turnstile, used on sign-in, sign-up and contact forms, does not set cookies on vfx.systems.
Analytics and browser storage
We use Umami, self-hosted at umami-production-e7fb.up.railway.app, for page views, events and a sample of session replays with every form input masked. Umami sets no cookies. Its tracker reads one key in your browser's local storage, umami.disabled, only to check whether you have switched analytics off; it does not write anything there. The replay script stores nothing in your browser. Cloudflare Web Analytics, added by our host, is cookieless as well. See the Privacy Policy for what is collected.
To opt out of Umami in this browser, open your browser console on vfx.systems and run localStorage.setItem("umami.disabled", "1"). Browser tracking protection or a content blocker also stops it.
Other sites
When you go to checkout you leave vfx.systems for Stripe, which sets its own cookies under its own policies. The same applies to GitHub, OCIO.cc, compstart.pro and other sites we link to.
Your choices
